So I know my dosha... Now what?

Here's the way it usually happens...

  1. You hear about this amazing ancient solution to health and happiness, Ayurveda, cool.

  2. It sounds kinda interesting and you think there might be something in it for you (plus you love quizzes). Also cool.

  3. You find and take a dosha test (because apparently, it's an important thing to do). Great.

  4. You get the information about your dosha and realize that it: a. Describes you perfectly; b. Can't be correct; c. totally confuses you; or d. All of the above. Hmmm...

  5. You wonder what any of this dosha information has to do with anything and how the hell you can use it to actually change... anything.

  6. You go back to waiting for the next amazing ancient (or not-so-ancient) solution to come along.

This is the way it happened to me.

My first interaction with Ayurveda was inspiring... and definitely confusing. But I knew there was something to it. So I persisted. And it paid off... (and keeps paying off...).

So now I've got to level with you, Ayurveda is a VAST subject! And on top of that, it's old school. This means that my job as a practitioner and educator can be challenging when it comes to figuring out how to distill all of its goodness down into smart and sassy chunks for motivated and busy folks to consume and put to use.

But one of the best and biggest things that Ayurveda has going for it is that it's simple. The beauty of it is that it touches every part of our lives from how we think and act to how and where we live to what we eat and drink.

And if there is any secret to Ayurveda, if it can be distilled down to a single sentiment it's this... Ayurveda is about discovering what feeds you.

That process of discovery is different for everyone, it happens fast and slowly. But what it gives us is the ability to look at the world with eyes clear enough to separate what nourishes us from what weighs us down. And that's the first step toward authentic (and limitless) living!

And it also happens to be why I'm here...

I know this stuff works a treat!  So of course I want to point you in the direction of the good stuff (right off the bat). To show you the low-hanging fruit; the stuff you need and can apply powerfully in your life... right now and every day!

My job (as I've defined it) is to introduce you, in a yummy and familiar way, to the nuggets of gold that can be found in this vast and all-encompassing science of living and give you access to cream-of-the-crop solutions for blissful living.

So I'm launching two exciting NEW experiences to share the goodness of Ayurveda in bite-sized, easily digestible, delicious chunks of wisdom (and whimsy) targeted specifically at what you need and want to know.

And so without further ado, allow me to introduce you to...

Bea Rue

Freelance Web & Graphic Designer

Recently I began taking inventory of my life, recognizing the shifts I could make to lessen my personal consumption and impact. Since we spend a quarter of our lives working, that was certainly an area demanding attention. So I left retail and begin my career freelancing for small businesses whose higher purpose transcends profit.

I believe in employing my skills and energy to empower others working to create positive change in our world. I support too-swamped entrepreneurs by breathing life into their brands and websites, allowing them to focus on the important work at hand. At the same time, I get to nurture my own entrepreneurial spirit while being creative and building truly meaningful relationships throughout my community.

I strive to inform, delight and inspire by balancing content with design. I consider the details without losing sight of the big picture. I aim to see around corners while staying focused on the moment. I'm self directed but have over a decade of experience successfully working with teams. And while I've surely got bills to pay, I know it's my social responsibility to be selective about where I put my energy.
